The Importance of PA

Of course PA is important but before you spend money on the next mixing console, a new keyboard or fancy mics, consider this.. How is my PA system?  Is it outdated?, damaged? Have too many hands been messing with it?  Is it positioned properly?  It’s easy to think that your sound system will work much better with pricey microphones or a new console, especially when going from analog to digital, but is that really the solution? Probably not.
