Having a disconnection point between the boxes and the speakers makes them easy to disconnect and bring indoors for the offseason.

This system is fully scalable up to 64 independent zones of ambient and/or triggered audio playback. This would not be possible without our custom, organized infrastructure and custom designed/built equipment racks. The Dante networking and playback computers feature fully redundant Primary and Secondary independent networks to ensure that in the event of a failure, no sound is lost.

Bringing an unmatched level of production value to this themed attraction was a fun and rewarding project for Clegg Sound Associates. We can't wait to work more with Haunted Overload and other themed attractions in the future to develop custom solutions that are reliable, scalable, integrated, and automated.

The Importance of PA

https://www.cleggsound.com/news--media/the-importance-of-pa

https://www.cleggsound.com/news--media/the-importance-of-pa#comments

Uncategorized

By Dean CleggOf course PA is important but before you spend money on the next mixing console, a new keyboard or fancy mics, consider this.. In the past, arrays were outsourced and sub-rented by Clegg Sound for this event. However, this year Clegg Sound deployed their own NEXO GEO M6 tangent arrays as mains for the event. The hangs consisted of eight 120º modules over four 80º modules per side, totalling 24 M6 array modules. Four NEXO LS-18 subwoofers were ground stacked (two per side) to fill out the bottom end, and four NEXO PS-10 speakers were deployed on the ground as side fill speakers. Six NEXO ID-24 speakers in a 40º x 120º orientation were deployed evenly across the front of the stage as front fills.

Clegg Sound owner/founder, Dean Clegg, designed the system using CAD modeling and NEXO NS-1 modeling software. “NS-1 has proven to be extremely accurate time and time again,” states Clegg. “Whatever it shows, is what you get upon actually deploying the rig.”
Perhaps the most impressive thing about this system was the size and weight according to Clegg Sound’s Production Manager/Systems Technician, George Farrow III. “We were able to hang each array with just a single point and a ¼ ton motor; something you can’t find anywhere else. Not to mention, we did not even come close to the ¼ weight limit, with 12 boxes, that’s just amazing! It made the riggers quite happy as well. In addition to being very light, the arrays are very small. They blended into the background very nicely, and were by no means obtrusive to any sight lines.”

As for the sound itself, Farrow said, “it was great, with excellent sound pressure levels throughout the room, and fantastic clarity. The subwoofers did a nice job of filling out the bottom end of some deeper voices, and helped the brass quintet get a little more effectiveness out of their low brass instruments.”

Clegg Sound Relies on NEXO for Audio Production Needs

https://www.cleggsound.com/news--media/clegg-sound-relies-on-nexo-for-audio-production-needs

https://www.cleggsound.com/news--media/clegg-sound-relies-on-nexo-for-audio-production-needs#comments

Uncategorized

Clegg Sound Associates, system installer and sound rental company, recently provided production assistance and the rental of a NEXO audio system for a reception held by Lindt Chocolates, the worldwide chocolatier based in Stratham, New Hampshire, for its employees. Three NEXO ID24 speakers were used for rear ballroom fill, powered by a single amp channel, and processed with a NEXO DTD controller.
"We chose the GEO M620 for the Radisson event because of its high quality sound and control. Nothing sounds as natural to my ear as NEXO, states Dean Clegg, owner of Clegg Sound. We are in the event business, and so many of our clients need powerful, coherent quality audio and appreciate great sounding mixes. We don't necessarily need to be super loud, just good at around the SPL levels that M6 speakers are ideally suited."
A team from Malloy Events visited Clegg Sound for a demo prior to the event, in which a six-speaker M6 system over two LS18s was set up for listening. "They loved it, and loved the small, discreet size even more," says Clegg.
"I'm very familiar with the sound of NEXO GEO products and LOVE it, Clegg adds. I've done many concerts with GEO S8s and CD12s, installed an S8 system at New Life Church in Biddeford, Maine, and a GEO S12 system with NX4X4 amps at the Prescott Park Arts Festival in nearby Portsmouth, NH."
Clegg said his company uses NS-1 software and finds it very helpful when designing systems.
